| Position | Loves plenty of bright, direct sunlight, which helps deepen its dark purple tones. |
| Temperature | They can tolerate low temperatures but should be protected from very low temperatures in winter. |
| Water | Water regularly in the warmer months but allow to almost dry out. Keep on the dry side in colder climates in winter. |
| Fertiliser | During its growing season (spring and summer), a light feed with a balanced succulent fertiliser every month will encourage healthy growth. |
