Bring a little of the jungle indoors with Amydrium Medium, a striking climbing aroid with fresh green foliage, pronounced veining and a lovely crocodile-skin texture. As the plant settles in and begins to climb, its elongated leaves can develop the distinctive splits and fenestrations that make this species such a rewarding one to watch.
Often known as Spiderman Monstera, Amydrium Medium has a lively, tropical feel without being overly fussy. Its foliage starts out whole and textural, then becomes more dramatic with maturity, creating a beautifully layered look whether it is displayed on a shelf or trained upward.
This variety has a climbing rather than trailing habit, so it will really shine with a moss pole, stake or other support. Place it somewhere bright with indirect light, give it room to grow, and it will become an eye-catching feature in any indoor plant collection.
| Position | Keep in bright, indirect sunlight where it can enjoy plenty of light without harsh direct rays. |
| Temperature | Warm conditions between 18–24°C are ideal. Keep above 15°C. |
| Water | Water well, then allow the potting mix to almost dry before watering again. |
| Fertiliser | Fertilise regularly through spring and summer. |
| Repotting | Repot only when well established in its pot, ideally in mid-spring. |
| Pet Friendly | Amydrium are not Pet Friendly |
