Homalomena Golden Hibiscus brings a brilliant wash of chartreuse and golden-green to an indoor plant collection. Its softly ribbed, pointed leaves glow against the darker stems and gather into a neat tropical clump that looks bright from every angle.
This is a beautiful choice for lifting a shelf or shaded corner without relying on flowers. Give it warm conditions and bright indirect light to support its strongest colour, and it will settle into an easy, compact display.
| Position | Keep in bright to moderate indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch or wash out the foliage. |
| Temperature | Prefers warm indoor conditions. Temperatures above 20°C encourage stronger growth; protect from prolonged temperatures below 12°C. |
| Water | Water thoroughly, then allow the top layer of potting mix to begin drying before watering again. Do not leave the roots standing in water. |
| Fertiliser | Feed with a weak balanced fertiliser during spring and summer when the plant is actively growing. |
| Repotting | Repot once the plant is well established and filling its pot, using a loose, well-draining indoor potting mix. |
