Compact, chunky, and proudly slow-growing—Hoya pachyclada is the kind of plant that proves good things come to those who wait. With its short, succulent-like stems and heavy sea-green leaves (often blushed red on the edges when mature), this little gem adds real texture and depth to any space.
And when it blooms? Oh, it blooms! Expect creamy-white, highly perfumed flowers with a zingy lemon scent and glossy, reflexed petals. Up to 25 flowers in each umbel, and they’ll hang around for nearly a week of floral delight. Yes, you read that right—this one’s a citrus-scented show-off.
