Hoya Sigillatis Wide Leaf
Hoya Sigillatis Wide Leaf
Hoya sigillatis 'Wide Leaf'
Low stock: 1 left
Hoya Sigillatis Wide Leaf is a distinctive Borneo form grown for its thicker, broader foliage, densely flecked with silver over olive to deep green. In bright filtered light, the leaves can develop warm burgundy to reddish tones that bring even more contrast to the silver patterning.
Its fine stems have a slender trailing or climbing habit, making it beautifully suited to a hanging display where the foliage and wandering vines can be enjoyed. Give it bright indirect light, steady warmth and an airy potting mix, and it will reward consistent care with striking foliage and, once mature, delicate flower clusters.
Hoya Collection Number 187
| Flowers | Small rounded clusters of orange to reddish flowers with deeper centres. They may carry a light fragrance in warm conditions. |
| Position | Bright, indirect light is ideal. A little soft morning sun can enhance the silver mottling and reddish tones, but protect the foliage from harsh afternoon sun. |
| Temperature | Prefers warm, stable conditions between 18–30°C. Protect from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes. |
| Water | Water thoroughly, then allow most of the potting mix to dry before watering again. Reduce watering during cooler, slower-growing months. |
| Fertiliser | Feed lightly during active growth in the warmer months with a balanced fertiliser suitable for indoor plants. |
| Repotting | Repot only when well established or rootbound, using a chunky, airy and free-draining mix in a pot only slightly larger than the current one. |
| Pet Friendly | Hoyas are Pet Friendly. |
