The Blue Star Fern is an elegant and unusual houseplant, loved for its striking, wavy-edged leaves that carry a distinctive blue-green hue. The almost metallic look of its fronds adds a cool, modern vibe to your plant collection. Its whimsical, finger-like leaves are not only a visual treat but also easy to care for, making it perfect for both novice and experienced plant parents alike.
Position | Keep in low intensity light or provide artificial light. |
Temperature | Temperatures above 20 degrees will speed up growth. Keep temperatures above 10 degrees or may cause leaves to rot. |
Water | Water well if kept in pots but sparingly in terrariums; potting mix must be allowed to almost dry between waterings. |
Fertiliser | Only fertilise if you would like the plant to grow larger. Lack of fertiliser will keep the plant shorter and more compact. |
Repotting | Only when well established in pot or mid-spring. |
Pet Friendly | Phlebodium are Pet Friendly |
